MICHAEL GROB is Chief Growth Officer and Group Head of International Distribution at Meanwhile, a Bermuda-regulated life insurer focused on Bitcoin-native wealth planning. With 25 years of experience, he has held senior roles at Sun Life International, HSBC, Julius Baer, and Credit Suisse, and started at Baker & McKenzie. He has built international distribution networks, developed wealth and insurance solutions, and advised high-net-worth clients globally. Michael is a qualified lawyer in New South Wales and New Zealand, with Law and Economics degrees from Macquarie University and is a STEP member. Fluent in English and German, he is also an author and speaker on international wealth structuring.
BEN ROSEN is a partner and head of the Private Wealth & Tax team at Quastels in London, a team that has been ranked and recognised by The Times, Legal 500 and Spears. Ben specialises in private wealth and tax matters for both UK and international high net worth individuals and families. Ben has a particular focus on complex multijurisdictional tax and structuring matters and also advises on the interplay between wealth and emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence.
JACK BURROUGHS, TEP, is a tax, trust and estate advisor at Quastels LLP in London, advising clients around the world. Jack is known for his expertise in relation to new technology and crypto assets and provides advice on these issues. He co-authored the second edition of legal textbook The Digital Estate, which covers the legal, tax and practical implications of all kinds of digital assets from the perspective of private client practice. He also serves as Deputy-Chair to the Steering Committee of STEP’s Digital Assets Global Special Interest Group, and regularly speaks at events on the topic. Most recently, he authored STEP’s CPD Learning Course on Digital Assets.
ROSS BELHOMME is an international asset protection and wealth structuring specialist based in Zürich. He holds an LL.M from IE University Madrid, an LL.B (Hons) from the University of London, and qualifications from the London Institute of Banking & Finance, STEP, and Harvard Business School. Through his boutique firm, Billen & Belhomme, he advises founders, family offices, trustees, and cross-border investors on trusts and digital assets. Ross has held executive and board roles in fiduciary and financial services in the Channel Islands, Bahamas, Switzerland, and Singapore, including experience at J.P. Morgan and Guggenheim. Active in crypto and DeFi since 2017, he is co-author of Crypto Assets in Trusts & Foundations and former Chairman of the STEP Digital Assets SIG.MODERATOR CV
HUGH O'DONNEL is chair of STEP Zug / Luzern, chair of STEP Verein, committee member of the Swiss and Liechtenstein STEP Federation (SLSF) and former Vice Chairman of STEP Arabia. He is Executive Director and Regional Wealth Planning Head of Continental Europe and Middle East at EFG Bank AG. With over 25 years’ experience, Hugh has held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, Julius Baer, HSBC and Credit Suisse, focusing on cross-border wealth structuring, trust formation, life insurance solutions and fiduciary management for UHNW clients across Switzerland, Europe and the MENA region. An English & Wales barrister by training, Hugh is TEP-qualified, holds the Swiss Advanced Certificate in Trust Management (SACTM) and combines deep regional knowledge with bilingual German and English, international experience and strong professional networks.
