SPEAKERS CV
JAMES TURNBULL has a law degree and is enrolled as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. He is a Board Member of the Asociace pro podporu a rozvoj svěřenských fondů (the Czech Trust Association) and Chairs the Czech and Slovak Chapter of STEP. He founded Svěřenské fondy a trusty s.r.o., the Czech Republic’s first professional trust administration company in 2014, and now works as an independent succession planning adviser to HNW families from throughout the CEE region. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of PTT CZ s.r.o., a specialist provider of business trustee services.
James has played an important role in the development of the trust sector in the Czech Republic through seminars and publications. He is co-author of the leading Czech trust textbook, Svěřenské fondy krok za krokem, and is one of the lecturers on the APRSF Trustee accreditation course.
EVA HRUSKOVA is a lawyer and member of STEP. She holds the prestigious TEP STEP designation in the Czech Republic and is co-author of the Czech trust text book Svěřenské fondy - krok za krokem.
Eva has been fully dedicated to trust funds since 2014, when she first provided trust fund administration services and then began to focus on structuring trust funds and preparing tailor-made schemes and deeds for clients. She has thus gained in-depth knowledge of trust funds, particularly their technical and legal aspects.
She is currently the managing director of Svěřenské fondy a trusty s.r.o., a company specializing in the establishment and subsequent administration of trust and endowment funds. She regularly organizes educational seminars. She provides services directly to clients and cooperates with lawyers across the Czech Republic.
STEPHAN HOLUB is a Co-Managing Partner and a leading specialist in multi-generational planning, inheritance, structuring and disposal of assets and real estate, both in the Czech Republic and worldwide. He advises clients on cross-border transactions and has successfully represented clients in litigation, including in the Czech Constitutional Court.
Štěpán advises experienced and aspiring entrepreneurs and investors not only on legal matters, but also in all phases of their business. He provides legal advice to his clients on appropriate solutions thanks to the combination of his extensive experience in legal and business practice.
