Alfonso Rivolta
Alfonso Rivolta is a senior manager in private banking, with a focus on servicing UHNW clients on a broad set of wealth management and investment solutions, among which wealth planning, wealth structures (trusts, life insurance, private investment funds), investment products and services, family office services, special credits, art and pleasure assets, philanthropy and foundations, with a deep legal, tax and private banking background and a long-standing experience in managing diverse and international teams. He also developed a broad experience on wealth and investment solutions' design, product management, distribution and sales.
After the first years working in the tax and legal practice in Italy at Pirola Pennuto Zei and Bonelli Erede (qualified as Dottore Commercialista and Auditor), and a full-time teaching experience at the University of Leiden (the Netherlands) on international taxation matters, Alfonso has worked at UBS as manager in the Wealth Planning function, and then at EFG International, where he held a variety of roles within Private Banking, Investment Solutions and the UHNW and Wealth Solutions departments, among which he was BoD member of the group fiduciary business, and Global Head of Wealth Planning since 2017.
Since 2023, Alfonso is Group Head Wealth Solutions at PKB, reporting to Group CEO. Wealth Solutions encompass a variety of high-level products and services, delivered to affluent and high net worth clients through different group entities, in Switzerland and Italy.
At PKB, Alfonso is also Chairman of the Market Areas' Competence Center, defining the Lead Offering and commercial campaigns, coordinating such activities through the Product & Sales Management function.
Alfonso is a member of the Advisory Board on Tax Planning at the Banking Association’s Studies Centre in Vezia, Switzerland, and Trust and Estate Practitioner at the Swiss STEP branch. He also lectures on international taxation, estate and Wealth Planning at renowned universities or institutions and has published articles on international tax and wealth planning matters.
Alfonso hails originally from Milan, Italy. He holds an M.Sc. in Law and Business Administration and an LL.M. in Tax Law from Bocconi University, Milan, and an Adv. LL.M in International Tax Law from Leiden University in the Netherlands, among other qualifications.
Alfonso is married and has two young children. In spare time he enjoys music, and indeed almost took that route as a career, as he is also a professionally trained orchestral conductor and violinist.
