Harold Grüninger (born 1954) is a partner of Homburger since 1992. He studied at the University of Basel, Switzerland, where he graduated in 1978 and received a doctorate in 1983. He also studied at the University of Pennsylvania, from which he graduated with an LLM in 1983. He is a certified specialist SBA (Swiss Bar Association) in inheritance law.

Harold Grüninger's practice focuses on private client work, including international wealth structuring, tax and estate planning, marital property, and foundations. Other areas of work include corporate law and aircraft finance.

Harold Grüninger has published several articles on taxation (annual survey) and estate planning issues and has authored the Chapter on Foundations in a commentary on Swiss Civil Law.

He lectures regularly on estate planning issues in professional seminars and as part of the University of Zurich's postgraduate program on international business law..
