Paolo Filippini, after his PhD, began his career in Lugano as tax and business consultant.

He moved to Banca del Gottardo in Lugano in 2000 where he worked in several positions within the Bank. In 2004 he was appointed Managing Director of Gottardo Trust Company Ltd. in Nassau, Bahamas. 2007 he moved back to Lugano and took over the responsibility as Head of the Financial Planning Department of the Bank and following the merger between BSI and Banca del Gottardo, was appointed Head Group Financial Planning Operations and acts as Director in the Boards of BSI Trust Bahamas, Singapore, Guernsey and Malta. Other than management roles, Mr. Filippini is still very active in clients' advice, internal and external presentations on financial planning issues.

Mr. Filippini is fluent in Italian, French, German, English and Spanish. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), full member (TEP) of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and member of the Swiss Financial Planner Associations (SFPO & FPVS).
