An honours graduate in metallurgy from Leeds University and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Peter is an active member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners [STEP]. As founder chairman of the Jersey Branch in 1993, he now serves on many of the international committees of the Society. He practised as a partner in the Jersey firm of Ernst and Young until its acquisition in 2000 by Royal Bank of Canada and then as a director of Royal Bank of Canada Trustees Limited. Peter specialises in offshore trusts, estates and tax planning.
