Hubertus Ludwig, lawyer and tax expert, was a partner for 16 years in one of the big-four audit companies specialising in the tax affairs of middle-sized companies and private clients. As head of the tax and legal department in Basel he gained wide experience in structuring companies and developing solutions for wealthy clients.

In 2000 he became a partner in the law firm VISCHER which has offices in Basel and Zürich. He was responsible for developing a tax department in Basel which today has two partners and six associates working in Basel of whom five are tax.

He is also secretary to the Swiss IFA Branch which is the third largest branch of the world wide IFA (International Fiscal Association).

He is the President of STEP Basel Branch.
