Roland Erne has had a total of twenty years of professional experience, most recently with UBS P&S Wealth Planning, International Clients where he has spent nine years. Prior to UBS he worked for five years in the tax and legal department of Ernst & Young AG, Basel (including some time with for E&Y in São Paulo, Brazil). Before Ernst & Young AG he worked as an independent attorney at law, and also worked for fifteen months in the legal department of a large internationally active Swiss insurance company. Prior to this he worked for two years in the Private Client Department of Swiss Bank Corporation (now known as UBS).

Roland Erne has extensive experience in business Law (corporate law, international agreements). He is highly experienced in establishing Trusts and Foundations in various locations negotiating with international companies, especially in Germany, Latin- and South-America, as well as in litigation and court procedures, and inheritance law. Finally, he also has experience in founding firms, fusions, debt enforcement and bankruptcy law.

Roland Erne is fluent in German (mother tongue), English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

He earned his degree in law in 1990 and passed the Bar Exam in 1994.
