Andrea Vicari has a wide experience both academic and professional: advocate, public notary, founder and managing partner of Vicari & Associati, and of Studio Legale e Notarile Vicari, member of the “International Academy of Trust and Estate Law”, “Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners”, “Il Trust in Italia”, “International Fiscal Association”, “International Tax Planning Association”.
In Italy he earned a bachelor degree in “Business Administration” and one in “Law”; he is also Doctor of Comparative Law.
Afterwards, he moved to the United States, where he earned the International Tax Program Certificate (I.T.P.) at Harvard University and the degree of Doctor of Juridical Science (J.S.D.) at Cornell University where he worked as a research assistant professor of trusts law.
In 2005, he contributed to the drafting of the first Law on trust of the Republic of San Marino, and in 2010, he performed a major role in the drafting of the new Sammarinese Legislation on fiduciary relationships (i.e. the New Law on Trust, the Law on Fiduciary Relationships, the Law establishing the Court for Trusts and Fiduciary Relationships and the Law on provisions concerning the operation and functioning of the Court for Trusts and Fiduciary Relationships). Author of a large number of publications in legal journals and author of books about trust law, Andrea Vicari is often invited as a lecturer to Italian, Swiss and International symposia.
